MULTUS U1000/U2000 Compact Multitasking Machines
Recipient of the 68th Best 10 New Products Award (2025)
Providing maximum performance within the smallest footprint in its class. High-level process integration and automation made easy for anyone. MULTUS U1000 / MULTUS U2000
Okuma's compact multitasking machines, the MULTUS U1000 and MULTUS U2000, have received the 2025 Best 10 New Products Award, sponsored by the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun. The Best 10 New Products Awards recognize outstanding products developed and launched for that year that contribute to the advancement of manufacturing and strengthen Japan's international competitiveness. With this latest honor, Okuma has received the award 22 times from 2003 to 2025.
The MULTUS U1000/U2000 are compact multitasking machines that achieve one of the smallest machine widths in their class while featuring an 80-tool ATC magazine as standard. By improving the indexing accuracy of the B-axis and C-axis, these machines maintain high machining accuracy even when performing process-intensive machining for meeting the demands of increasingly complex and high-precision parts. In addition, the machines feature a flat front-face design, allowing robots to be installed closer to the machine. This enables the construction of space-saving robotic cells for further enhancing automation efficiency. Labor shortages, a decline in skilled workers, and the shift toward high-mix, low-volume production are reshaping manufacturing environments, increasing the demand for process integration and automation. The MULTUS U1000/U2000 deliver exceptional productivity, providing an optimal solution to these growing challenges.
