Okuma's double-column for highly accurate and efficient production

Okuma's MCR-BⅤ (B five) Double-Column Machining Center [5-Face Machining] received a 2020 Best 10 New Products Award sponsored by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun (The Daily Industrial News).
The 10 Best New Product Awards are selected from the products developed and put into practical use during the year as products which have also contributed to the advancement of manufacturing and the strengthening of Japan's international competitiveness. From 2003 to 2020, this is the 17th time Okuma has won this award.

The MCR-BⅤ is a double-column machining center that combines volumetric calibration and advanced thermal deformation control technologies to complete "highly accurate machining and measuring" of a wide variety of large parts with a single machine. We will innovate production of large parts machining in all industrial fields such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment, energy related, automobiles, aircraft, shipbuilding, and construction machinery.

The machine is equipped with an Accuracy Stability Diagnosis Function, 3D Calibration, and Thermo-Friendly Premium Specs as standard equipment to maintain high accuracy automatically, so any operator can easily maintain high accuracy.
The Sludgeless Tank (Optional) and the energy-saving ECO suite enable environment-friendly maintenance and energy-saving manufacturing that is friendly to the global environment.
In addition, it is equipped with a high-output, high-torque integral motor/spindle, and a full array of more than 100 types of attachment heads can be used. From powerful heavy-duty cutting to highly accurate finishing, high machining efficiency and versatility for high-mix, high-volume (HMHV) production of large components are handled on one machine.
