Takehiro Ono, a member of Okuma's Parts Machining Department, has been selected as one of the 142 recipients of the FY2025 Outstanding Skilled Worker (Contemporary Master Craftsman) award and was honored for his work as a grinder operator and finishing machinist. This marks the tenth time an Okuma employee has received this prestigious recognition.

Mr. Ono possesses exceptional skills in grinding processes for machine tool component manufacturing, particularly in high-precision machining using internal grinders. While this expertise is developed only through many years of experience, Mr. Ono further distinguishes himself by accurately assessing machining conditions through sound during operation and adjusting machining parameters to efficiently achieve the required accuracy. Through these abilities, he has made significant contributions to improving production efficiency.
Also, within the company, Mr. Ono actively provides guidance to younger employees, making substantial contributions to the transfer of skills and the development of future talent.
