Concept

Reduces precision defects caused by thermal deformation

Machining precision of the workpiece changes significantly due to ambient temperatures around the machine, heat generated by the machine, and heat generated during machining. The Thermo-Friendly Concept is the unique concept of “accepting” these temperature changes so that high precision can be achieved in normal factory environments with no special measures by the user.

Measures and compensates errors in axis position and tilt

On 5-axis machines there are “geometric errors” such as spindle misalignment, that have huge effects on machining accuracy. The 5-Axis Auto Tuning System measures geometric errors with a touch probe and datum sphere, and tunes 5-axis machines for better operating accuracy through compensation control using the measurement results. This helps to achieve a higher level of 5-axis machining accuracy.
