The Okuma Technical Center East (Parndorf, Austria) was opened on October 25 to function as a service and sales base for the East European market of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and other nearby countries.
Many manufacturers, Japanese companies included, are setting up operations in Eastern Europe, and the new Technical Center has eight state-of-the art machines installed and ready for test cuts and training with the aim of expanding sales in this growing market.
